What is Tesamorelin?

Tesamorelin is an artificial polypeptide mimicking the structure of growth hormone-releasing hormone. Changes in the N-terminus, compared to GHRH, are believed to bolster its stability, an insight put forth by researchers.

Research on tesamorelin delves into its anticipated mode of action, akin to growth hormone-releasing hormones (GHRH). It's theorized to interact with receptors in the anterior pituitary gland, potentially enhancing the creation and discharge of growth hormones. These hormones may activate various cells, like hepatocytes, sparking the synthesis of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1).
